Edoardo Zosi

Born in Milan in 1988 he began studying violin at the age of three, at first with S. Krylov and later with P. Amoyal.

He earned his Master’s Degree at Conservatorio „Giuseppe Verdi“ in Milano with top scores, laude and honors.

He completed his advanced studies with S. Accardo at Accademia „W. Stauffer“ in Cremona and in Siena at Accademia Chigiana where he obteins the Certificate of Honor.

In 2003 he won the „Valsesia Musica“ International Competition for violin and orchestra despite being the youngest competitor.

In 2005 he made his debut with Stuttgarter Philharmoniker with Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto in the Beethoven Saal at Liederhalle in Stuttgart and in the same year, at the Philharmonie Hall with Berliner Symphoniker in Berlin. In 2007 he performed Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto at Radio France Festival, live broadcast, and in Lugano with Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana. In 2010 he performed Paganini Concerto n. 1 at Teatro di San Carlo in Naples and in 2013 he successfully made his debut in Dublin with RTE Symphony Orchestra performing Bruch violin concerto n. 1, the concert has been live broadcast. In 2014 he debuted at Parco della Musica, Sala Santa Cecilia, with Orchestra Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. In October 2016 he was again a guest of the Nürnberger Symphoniker with the performance of O.Respighi’s Concerto Gregoriano, that has been subsequently recorded for the Bavarian radio.

He performs regularly with many important Orchestras like Stuttgarter Philharmoniker, Nürberger Symphoniker, Orchestre National de Montpellier, Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, Luzern Sinfonieorchester, Sinfonie Orchester Wuppertal, Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz, Orchestra Haydn of Bolzano, Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana, Prague Chamber Orchestra; he works with outstanding conductors such as Alan Buribayev, Enrique Diemecque, Gabriel Feltz, Hannu Lintu, Dmitri Sitkovetsky, Muhai Tang, Alexander Vedernikov, just to mention a few.

He is a devoted chamber musician and performs frequently in many prestigious italian music series and festival collaborating with renowned artists like S. Accardo, P. Amoyal, L. Armellini, P. Badura-Skoda, B. Canino, R. Filippini, B. Giuranna, I. Levit, A. Madzar, P. Mangova, A. Meneses, S. Redaelli, F. Say, A. Ugorski.

Tv channel Sky Classica produced and broadcast a documentary on Edoardo in the series „I Notevoli“. He recorded for Amadeus his first cd with pianist B. Canino dedicated to Strauss Sonata op. 18 and Brahms Sonata op. 108, a second cd followed, including Bruch Violin Concerto n. 1 with Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino, live recording.

In 2015 Warner Classic released his last cd The Stradivari Session recorded with the legendary Stradivari violin „Il Cremonese 1715“.

From 2011 until 2015 he taught at „Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia“ in Rome and at Conservatorio „G. Puccini“ in La Spezia.

Currently he is violin professor at Conservatorio „E. R. Duni“ in Matera.

He plays the Violin Carlo Bergonzi 1739 also known as „Mischa Piastro“, loan from Fondazione Pro Canale.
