Der Argentinier Alejandro Guyot hat sich nicht nur in seiner Heimat einen Namen in der Tango-Szene des 21. Jahrhunderts gemacht. Neben seiner Tätigkeit als Sänger, Texter, Schriftsteller, und Komponist ist er zudem als Dozent im Fachbereich Tango-Gesang an der Escuela de Música Popular de Avellaneda (EMPA) in der Provinz Buenos Aires aktiv. Unter anderem ist er Mitglied der Gruppe 34 Puñaladas (heute umbenannt in BOMBAY Bs.As.). Mit dieser und anderen Formationen, aber auch solistisch, ist er regelmäßiger Gast auf den renommiertesten Tango- und Weltmusikbühnen in Europa, aber auch außerhalb, etwa in Australien, den USA, Kanada, Kolumbien, Chile, Uruguay und Brasilien.
Argentinian singer, lyricist, and composer Alejandro Guyot is a defining figure in the 21st-century tango scene – both in his home country and internationally. He teaches tango singing at the Escuela de Música Popular de Avellaneda (EMPA) in Buenos Aires province and is also active as a writer. Guyot is a longtime member of the ensemble 34 Puñaladas – now renamed BOMBAY Bs.As. – and performs regularly with this and other groups, as well as a soloist, on some of the world’s most prestigious tango and world music stages. His concert tours have taken him across Europe, the Americas, and beyond, with performances in Australia, the USA, Canada, Colombia, Chile, Uruguay, and Brazil.
