Mike is a London-based multi-instrumentalist specialising in Chinese plucked string instruments, guitar and percussion. He began playing traditional Chinese music during his studies at SOAS, University of London, and Beijing Normal University, where he studied Sanxian, Ruan and Chinese percussion and began playing as a member of the SOAS Silk and Bamboo Ensemble. Mike performs frequently in London as well as across the UK, and Europe at venues and festivals such as Colourscape, Xposed Club, Cheltenham, Klangwerk Contemporary Music Festival Chemnitz, and has toured China with Beibei Wang and BBC Concert Orchestra.
