Narayan Chandra Sinha hat sich als Bildhauer und Installationskünstler auf die Schaffung von Kunstwerken aus Schrott, Altmetall und Industrie materialien spezialisiert. Seine künstlerische Sprache findet ihren Ausgangspunkt in der Verbindung von grober Materialität mit organischen Formen und erzählt persönliche wie kollektive Geschichten. Aufgewachsen in einem industriellen Umfeld, entdeckte Sinha früh die Ästhetik des Weggeworfenen. Nach einem naturwissenschaftlichen Studium an der Universität Kolkata bildete er sich größtenteils autodidaktisch zum Künstler. Seine Werke – Skulpturen, Installationen, Aquarelle, Malerei – wurden landesweit ausgestellt, unter anderem in den Einzelausstellungen „Firelight“, „Imbue“ und „Engulf“. 2024 wurde Narayan Sinha mit dem Preis „Artists for the Earth“ für sein nachhaltiges künstlerisches Schaffen ausgezeichnet.
Narayan Chandra Sinha has established himself as a sculptor and installation artist specializing in the creation of works from scrap, metal waste, and industrial materials. His artistic language is rooted in the interplay between raw materiality and organic form, unfolding both personal and collective narratives. Raised in an industrial environment, Sinha early on discovered the aesthetic potential of the discarded. After studying science at the University of Kolkata, he developed his artistic practice largely as an autodidact. His works – sculptures, installations, watercolors, and paintings – have been exhibited across India, including solo shows such as “Firelight”, “Imbue”, and “Engulf”. In 2024, Narayan Sinha was awarded the “Artists for the Earth” prize in recognition of his commitment to sustainable artistic practice.
